Bush Going on Vacation. Again.

>> Wednesday, August 13, 2008

Yes there may be a war going on in Georgia. Despite this i feel comfortable in saying that it is not a big deal and has no impact on the US in a significant way. My evidence for this pronouncement? Our President is headed on vacation. Again.

President Bush has a vacation planned for the next two weeks. Lord knows he needs one after spending the last week at the Olympics. Sadly for our fearless leader there is this war thing in Georgia, a country we are supposed to support. So what does Bush plan to do about this? He has bravely decided to sacrifice one or two days before starting his vacation at Crawford.

Thats very nice of Bush. After all we know how much he loves his vacation time, he is the Record Holder. For a reminder

- 74 trips to his Crawford ranch, for a total of 466 days.

– 142 trips to Camp David, for a total of 450 days.

Hmm. Thats a lot of days. Bush is also doing this just after criticizing Congress for taking a vacation without passing a "Drill, Drill, Drill" Bill.

Last month I acted and I lifted an executive branch restriction on offshore oil exploration. And then I called on Congress to join me and…end the legislative ban. Unfortunately, the Democratic leadership in Congress decided to go on a five-week vacation, a recess, rather than act on behalf of the American consumer.

Not to mention that there seems to be some mixed signals coming out of America, or just McCain, about exactly what we plan to do in Georgia. It appears like we are going to be taking a humanitarian approach giving aid. However, we cant do that if the fighting is still raging. Plus the President of Georgia is telling people we are going to start taking over the fighting. So maybe you should stay home and do your job.

Thanks again Bush. This has been a reminder about just how much you suck. Maybe there is not a whole lot we can do right now but please make it look like your trying. Your Senioritis does not reflect well on our country.
